Rev. Philip E. Bloch
Pastor Bloch has been serving Immanuel as Associate Pastor since December 1995. He is married to Martha: she serves as the Resource Room teacher at Immanuel School. They have two sons, Andrew and Aaron. Andrew is married to Lindsay and they are parents to the first grandson, Philip Scott. Andrew is a student at Concordia Seminary in St. Louis and Aaron works at the Cummins Seymour Engine Plant.
Pastor Bloch received his Masters of Divinity degree from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis, and an undergraduate degree from Concordia, Seward with a B.S. in Elementary Education and Director of Christian Education Certification. His first call was to Zion Lutheran Church in Denison, IA.
He enjoys traveling with family, reading, fishing, and watching and playing sports.
Favorite Bible verse: Galatians 2:20: I have been crucified with Christ. It is no longer I who live, but Christ who lives in me. And the life I now live in the flesh I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me.
