10:15 am Sunday School Class in the Youth Room (3rd floor, above Fellowship Hall/Kitchen) + 7-12th grade

The world is wild and full of wonders! Giant footprints on the side of a mountain. Rivers that run backwards. Fish that change genders. Platypuses!! Along with the wonders the world has to offer, there are decisions and struggles we will all have to face. Our Bible study will tackle real world wonders as well as real world issues facing our country and the world. Topics ranging from racism to euthanasia to fast food will allow us to dive into God’s Word for some never-changing wisdom in our ever-changing world. Come join us each Sunday between services (10:15 am) up in the youth room for some fellowship, fun, and insight into how our Lord is still our guide in this crazy, fast-paced world.

Confirmation at Immanuel

Jesus said his church is to be about the business of “making disciples,” that is, learners and followers of Jesus.  While this is a life-long process of hearing God’s Word and putting it into practice, instruction for our youth during their junior high years is a high priority.  We meet with our students in public schools in grades 6-8 during the school year on Wednesday evenings at 7.  By studying the Bible, engaging in real-life applications, and building relationships, we want to help them identify with the life and mission of the Christian community.  In their 8th grade year, they have opportunity to make public confession of their faith in Jesus Christ at the confirmation service in May.

Jesus said his church is to be about the business of “making disciples,” that is, learners and followers of Jesus.  While this is a life-long process of hearing God’s Word and putting it into practice, students at Immanuel Lutheran School spend time each day in God’s Word.  During the 8th grade year, our pastors, vicar, and youth minister teach our 8th grade students four days a week during first period.  By studying the Bible, engaging in real-life applications, and building relationships, we want to help them identify with the life and mission of the Christian community.  They have opportunity to make public confession of their faith in Jesus Christ at the confirmation service in May.
